  • Believe that rape, abuse, and stalking are unacceptable and say it out loud.
  • Have a conversation with your children about how important it is to end violence.
  • Be sure that your children know that you are a safe person to talk to.
  • Get training on warning signs of perpetration and victimization and respond when you see them.
  • If you suspect someone you care about is a victim of violence, gently ask if you can help.
  • Speak up when you hear sexist language or jokes.
  • Check in with friends if you are concerned about their safety and get them connected to local resources for help.
